On Tuesday, May 17, voters in the Livingston Manor Central School District will decide on an $18.8 million budget proposal for the district for the 2022-23 school year that contains a 2.68% tax levy increase, which is within the tax cap. Voters will also elect one member of the Board of Education.
The budget preserves current programs for students, and includes $100,000 to continue annual interior and exterior improvement projects throughout the school.
Voters will go to the polls between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. at the Livingston Manor Central School's new gym at 19 School St. Absentee ballots may also be requested and must be returned to the district clerk by 5 p.m. May 17.

School Board
Voters will elect one member to the board of education for a three-year term. Two candidates, James Buck and Gordon LeRoy, submitted nominating petitions and are on the ballot.
Voter Qualifications
Voters must be 18 years old, and a U.S. citizen and a district resident for at least 30 days, and not otherwise unqualified to vote. The last day to register to vote is May 12, 2022. Those who are not registered to vote with the Board of Elections may register to vote in the school elections by visiting the Office of the District Clerk between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. by appointment. Absentee Ballots
Qualified voters may request an absentee ballot application by contacting the District Clerk at 845-739-4400 ext. 1201. Completed applications must be received by the district clerk by May 9 if the ballot is to be mailed to the absentee voter or May 16 if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the absentee voter. Absentee ballots must be received at the office of the district clerk no later than 5 p.m. May 17.
